Assignments Panel
Lite Editor Tool
The Assignments Panel is the central level view for J2 Tags. It shows tags in the current level and lists the Actors or Components that use each selected tag.

When to Use It

What You See
Section titled “What You See”| UI area | Purpose |

| Tag tree | Actor Tags, Component Tags, Quick Tags, TagSet Tags, redirect tags, and undefined tags. |
| Search field | Filters the tag tree by tag name or display text. |
| Details header | Shows selected tag information such as display name, full tag, and source. |
| Reference list | Shows Actors or Components that use the selected tag. |
| Object search and filters | Narrow the reference list by object name, class, or filter menu. |
| Context menu | Replace, remove, resolve, open, or run related actions depending on edition and tag type. |
Context Menus in the Panel
Section titled “Context Menus in the Panel”The Assignments Panel has separate context menus for tags and references. Use the tag context menu when you want to operate on the selected tag, such as replacing references across the current result set.
Use the object context menu when you want to act on one listed Actor, Component, or Asset reference.
Basic Workflow
Section titled “Basic Workflow”Review tags in the current level
- Open the panel after level edits, imports, or tag changes.
- Search or expand the tag tree.
- Select a tag.
- Review the referenced Actors or Components.
- Remove, replace, or inspect references as needed.
- Enable overlay highlighting when spatial context matters.
Extensions Pro
Section titled “Extensions ”ProWhen Pro is loaded, the panel adds production actions and richer tag sources.

| Diagnostics | Opens the Tag Diagnostics panel. |
| Manager | Opens the selected TagSet Tag in the Tag Manager when possible. |
| Resolve Tags | Converts undefined level tags into Quick Tags or TagSet Tags. |
| Resolve Redirects | Finds old redirect names and replaces them with their current target tags. |
| Execute Behavior | Runs assigned behaviors for tags that have behavior mappings. |
| Add to Tag Set | Promotes selected undefined tags into an existing TagSet. |
